Oven-Baked Oat Fritters
A light and convenient alternative to traditional mücver, prepared without frying, for those who want to increase their vegetable intake.
Prep time: 15 min
Cooking time: 25 min
2 servings
Ingredients
1 medium zucchini
1 small carrot
1 egg
4 tablespoons of oat flour
2 tablespoons of yogurt
30 g white cheese
½ bunch of dill
2 sprigs of green onion
Black Pepper
Red pepper flakes
How to Make It
- First, wash the zucchini and carrot thoroughly and grate them. Since zucchini can release a lot of water, squeeze out the excess liquid thoroughly with a clean cloth or paper towel after grating. This step is important for ensuring the mücver has the right consistency when baked.
- Place the vegetables in a large mixing bowl. Add the egg, yogurt, crumbled white cheese, and finely chopped dill and green onions. Finally, add the oat flour and spices, and mix until all the ingredients form a homogeneous mixture.
- On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, scoop spoonfuls of the mixture and shape them into round, slightly flattened pieces. Bake in a preheated 180°C oven for about 20–25 minutes. When the tops are lightly browned, remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes.
